    Any chance of a close up of the logo?....and a side view of the tang to see any billet clamp marks...Just a precaution..as the blade is authentic. A close up of the logo..might shed some light.

    Larry, I asked pictures of the logo and forgemark but the dagger is allready sold.
    To bad, because this was an interesting topic for my learningprocess.
    But eventually we have pointed out the excistance of the spellingerror in the makerslogo.
    So, my lesson learned is, watch twice when man would buy a Jacobs dagger with '!'.

    Gents a little bit of knowledge of the German language is needed here.
    ä = ae
    When you cant type a so called "umlaut" then you can replace the " by an e
    That means you either type Gräfrath or Graefrath, both are properly spelled.
    That it misses the F in the logo is of course not done....

    Regards,
    Ger

    What concerns me even more is the fact that it has a SA crossguard with the gau mark still in it.............
    Hi Ger,
    yes,both is properly spelled,but it should be GRÄFRATH. I saw one of these GRAERATH
    a few years back,by an US Dealer!
    Regards,
    Gerd
