It looks like it's been together for some good while, from the green on the nickel. I'm not wildly comfortable with the sizable gaps between the wood and the metal, though. William

Apart from the possible skrinkage to the grip, it looks good.

    Cheers, Ade.

I´m not collecting III. Reich honour daggers, but, the "Roman I", (I, II and III upon the lower Knebel are known on "early" dagger´s), stamped upon the crossguard together with an RZM marked blade ? ...

Also the material of the crossguard, (lower and upper Knebel), IMO does´nt compare to the crossguard of an RZM piece ! ...

    I assume, this is an parts-dagger ...

Hi Reibert, this one is not a parts peice.

While what you say is generally correct, it does not apply in this case. This is not strictly speaking an "RZM dagger". These are SS contracted peices and date from 1934, hence the SS contract code "120" and the date, 34, on the blade. The maker has not positivly been identified, but there is a suspicion it might be Eickhorn?

These are early high quality daggers.

    Cheers, Ade.
