I considered it too Gerd. But I thought I seen the letter A at about the 11 o clock position. But as said so corroded and a bit of a moot point but still fun to try and figure it out. Best regards

JA Henckels is not a known producer to this date of early SS daggers ...but a good guess as the corrosion tends to give it that appearance if you look hard enough ...and also through a bottle of scotch
