    HaHa! this one got a lot of attention. Thanks fellows, I thought so to, just confirming it was the work of a moron & crook.

    I'll keep an eye out for more fake SS bayo's, everyone seems to like to see them, and comment on them......unlike some other posts I have made.

    Here's mine I purchased for $85 ten years ago.
    I know it's post war etching but I do like it. These are now becoming collectors items in their own right.
    Any one else care to own up to one of these?

    I think you are right, they are what they are. And $85 ten years ago was about the right price. My only gripe is that it's another "good" bayonet that has been ruined.

    However, it still annoys me when I see dealers selling them at shows and labelling them "very rare"

    collectable? I wouldn't go that far
