Why should there be Damascus steel???
The crossgrain in the 3rd photo under magnification is all wrong. A cunning but noticeable fake. They're getting Better...
Docnn...they did,indeed, make a number of damascus bladed daggers, but they were only for a select few presentation pieces. The average issued daggers carried normal steel. If this dagger shown were genuine-which it is not-it would be a non-presentation piece/normal issue.
