ALL original Eickhorn Heinrich Himmler dagger will not have RZM marking,,,only the early style squirrel in a small circle, next to the reverse crossguard,,there may be originals with the larger squirrel in oval trade mark, but that would be in a distinct minority,,,
I know, this dagger seems correct, the RZM number is for Eickhorn, but not the Eickhorn style squirrel in a small circle.
Thanks
Brian
Hi Brian, Robert is totally correct. This dagger should not be RZM marked if it has an Himmler dedication blade.
Cheers, Ade.
also the crossgrain is not the standard of the himmler blade, and the eagle i am pretty sure should be the high neck nickle eagle in the handle i would certainly pass this one up (if i could afford it )
cheers Ronnie
It looks like the 'Himmler'-inscription isn't in the middle of the blade.
Blade is a total piece of junk and hardly a decent repro and the tang nut is mid to late period. Kind of strange seeing a part 6 years ahead of its time with plier grip marks on it! Good eyes Gents and special thanks to Militarymania.
