Nice untouched example, Willi Hase engraved his name on the reverse of the upper scabbard. I have documentation that shows he was a Rottenfuhrer who won the German Cross in Gold, and joined the SS on 11-1-33. The file I have does not cover his war years, which I am trying to obtain. Most papers deal with racial laws in Germany because he was getting married and had to trace his blood back to 1750. File also has pics of him and his wife but there is just so much info and I can't read German. Hope you enjoy some pics. Blade has minor age which would probably clean up but I'm not touching it. The chain is a Type 1 and is all present and looks great. No problems with this dagger which was obviously well take caer of. An all-around awesome piece with undeniable provenance!

You wouldn't believe the amount of paperwork I received, all labeled Race and Settlement File 1,2 and 3. All this to get married and prove racial purity. When I receive his Waffen SS war records then I will post some for translation. Check out the photo of him and his wife I posted.
