Is this authentic?

    Clearer, closeup pictures of the decals are required to give an affirmative assessment, but from what I can see so far it stands a chance.

    Looks OK but so try for better pictures, of the decals especially and the interior. If the liner is rotted out or missing that will put a big dent in it's value.

    I think it ought to be a late war Quist made helmet, rear stamped.

    You should also add the pictures in your posts directly into the thread, rather than linking to a picture that might disappear after some time. The thread is then useless.

    Thanks for your input! I will upload pics in future directly to thread and will see if I can get better pics. if the interior is in OK condition (every interior part is there and are OK) then what the value would be? If the interior is in very bad condition, what is estimated value then?

    In my opinion, the value of this police helmet is not very high. The all important decals are almost worn to illegibility. The unseen interior does not look very promising, as the liner pins are dangling loosely and so the interior almost certainly has been tampered with. As it sits, with no further information on it, I would say that 450E is much too much..
