DD Luft Camo Perhaps ???
Hi Guys
Had this in my garage past 12 months, picked it up from Holland for a few euros, was not too motivated to do much with it until now, out of boredom more or less decided to give it a bath in the old proverbial !! Has a nice liner band, 1939 dated, but i feel its a M35, vents have rotted away
Actually, any advice in the way of preservation would be most appreciated, good day
Not very exciting but thought i would post, gutted i cant find pre acid pics but life goes on ..Attachment 393791Attachment 393789Attachment 393788Attachment 393787Attachment 393783Attachment 393784Attachment 393785Attachment 393786Attachment 393790

Yeah can see the blue quite clearly in places, shame its so baddddd, ah well, any suggestions on what to do with it ??
Yeah..Leave it as it is and enjoy it for what it is, it's a great looking helmet with lots going for it! to restore it in any way would detract from it, you could give it a coat of Matt clear lacquer to seal it.
Cheers Phill.

Re: DD Luft Camo Perhaps ???
And now the restored helmet, i think the matt clearcoat has done a good job
Could do with a couple of brass liner pins if anyone can spare a couple ??/
