Paint in rust pits is never a good sign. Post war IMHO.

Looks to me like the shell was painted WITHOUT liner pins...which is of course a bad sign. Maybe you have better eyes than me, Jason.

In the second set of pic I reckon I can see the halo around the front holes but until we get better pics we cant know. Even after all these comments, if the price was cheap enough I would have took a chance still. Hopefully we can get a better idea in the future

I will try to take som new Photos when it arrives at my home It is funny how we all notice different details in Pictures. When I first saw the Photos of the helmet, my thoughts were that it was a camo helmet. To me it looks like a tan color partial covering the field grey. I even think that I can see some tan pint running on the back of the helmet. I don´t see a lot of rust in the Pictures I must admit. But no matter what it will be exiting when it arrives

received the helmet today - and I love the color - even if it is post war. Tried to take some Pictures of it today.

Could we get a photo of the whole helmet? It looks like either very subtle camo or just cleaned off dirt and rust.

I feel as though this helmet was painted sometime after the war. I'm not very sure.
