Paul, I believe it has been rusted in Estonian soil........... !

Holycats, I think helmets of this type are too far gone for restoration,
but some unscrupulous types like to add 'pre-aged' decals and
scuff them up a bit, then try to pass them off as genuine
'as found' relics. That is really ............!

Do You have pics of any fake relic helmets without decals? I have not seen any and i belive there is no point to fake them because price is too low and technology way too expansive.

No, But I have seen fakes which are 'aged' Chinese repros
tarted-up to look like originals ( camo effects, usually )

But I agree, it's not worth the time and effort to
    produce 'fake' relic helmets..............

I know there are very many FJ fake helmets on the market, some of them very good quality. And also some fake M35-s from China but quality is very bad. Most fakers use original WWII era shells and fake only camo paint, liners and decals. Rusty relic german helmets without decals and liner are 99% original items because price is still cheap and there is no point to fake them.
