To anyone who hasn't seen this site already it's really interesting to see what's still being uncovered in europe. Imagine stumbling across this little lot?

Re: FJ relic lid on EBay - good or not?
It looks like recently rusted mild steel.
The rim is a great indicator Lars, the tooling at the ET factory left a tiny little trench in the rolled rim of every helmet they made, usual combat styles or para helmets. Other factories left similar marks but it's very obvious on ET lids, and as you say ET is all we need to worry about for para helmets. Example pictured is an ET beaded M40.

What about the relic helmet subforum??????? We are still posting in Steel Helmets. There is more than justification for a relic sub forum.

Thanks for reminding us Lars - where is Dimas? I believe he is the one who can create a new sub-forum for us.

Re: FJ relic lid on EBay - good or not?
I really think we need this sub forum. There is a lot going regarding relic lids and they are different ball game than non-relic ones. IMHO of course
