German m18 ear cut out relic helmet number

Article about: I have just noticed what appears to be a number or part of, on this relic helmet. Appears to be a 62, but hard to read. I had heard these were all marked et64. I would like some expert advic

    Old thread, but here is some thoughts. However my helmet has both of this markings, seems like 64 liner is very tight to it, and seems it's really smaller than other. I measure my ( batch 1842) outside, and find it 64 cm, however the same 64 M18 ( regular transitioitional) I found 64,8 cm

    @Oradour. I have an M18 Cav. helmet with batch number starting with "B . D 5 ..." something something something. Is that a bad indication?

    As a rule, the forum generally does not value items, only authenticate. That said, this is a desirable helmet. You can check reputable dealer websites for "full dealer prices" and then subtract a healthy discount (30% or so).

    Here is a link (see post 4) to some dealers, but be warned , the two on Bill S website are in much better condition and in many ways different. I would not expect your helmet would be anywhere near what these helmets are being offered at.
