Luftwaffe relic helmet, hit by shrapnel!

Here a Luftwaffe helmet excavated.
You can see the helmet was hit by a shrapnel!
The decal you can still see, that I slightly cleaned!
The helmet are also the remains of wire to twigs or the like between stopping.
Pictures of before and after cleaning. Hope you like it, another helmet saved from the soil.

For the question of John!
How do I clean the helmet is pretty simple, first I remove with a small hammer all the rust off clean it with water and leave the helmet for a while to dry, then I treat the surface so that it stop rust!
Then I lubricate the helmet with a matte finish, you still better than the bottom layer show good ''You should not make a bling bling helmet''

I see much people do it with dug up helmets.
They make him completely bald so it lost its charm, and then they put it high gloss, verry bad i need to say!
