Article about: Hi, I have this relic/damaged M34 feuerschutzpolizei helmet. It has a big A stamp in the shell. Can anyone explain this stamp? Regards Replace

    It has a big A stamp in the shell.

    After looking into it further I think the (A) is for the factory identification stamp for the Eisenhuttenwerk, Thale Factory.
    Other marked lids from them were H, I, K and (Lion) DRP (Deutsches Reichs Patent) & may be more.
    I have been wrong about the maker on the one I have had for 2 years.
    Any other makers info would be great on these civil lids.

    I've seen much worse relics than this one. It's all there, if not pristine its original.
