m40 help needed please. Genuine, re-issue or fake?
Genuine M35 (I think), reissued post war to a fire service or something. I would question the liner leather.

going by the two holes showed in the last pic, i thought it was prob a re-issue - maybe Austrian army? i paid £45 for it on a hunch, what do you guys think? a good buy?
Original she'll. I'd pass on it myself, especially if you are looking for an authentic WWII German helmet.
Any collectable value to it? as its my 1st non relic purchase, or should i just sell it on?
Not really as far as WWII goes. eBay would be your best bet.
I agree, a helmet that has seen postwar service...the holes hurt its value quite a bit, but it's still a decent display/reenactment item...
