Here a nice M40 relic!

This is an M40 with steel wire!
On the right front side you see a small hole, maybe a bullet hole? For a 9mm it is to small i think!

During cleaning it was unfortunately a holes cheese helmet! Otherwise the helmet is still in some places in good condition!

Maybe the helmet had chicken wire in that period 39-45!

Would be better to load the pictures via the image loader. Hosting them with imageshack means that when you delete them from that web host we'll lose the images from the forum.

I dont know what holes you are talking about on the right front side, one is the vent hole ,the other is the liner pin hole !!!
