Mind you only one is on display, the other 2 are in hiding until the wife is in a suitable mood...
Regarding fleabay relics...
I've razzed this guy in another forum and he's probably a member here as well so, sorry guy..., but I think this is a good example of fleabay being a slippery-slope when it comes to "relic-type" helmets...
THIS HELMET looks like a great relic, but it's actually a US front-seam swivel-bale M1 lid that has been "refurbished"(with post war components) "recreating" a fixed-bale M1(with painted-on emblems that are aged...).
Confused yet?

He defended his description. Saying that he's not deceiving anyone...The helmet paintwork is 'as found' condition, I have not touched it other than the decals which are painted by me & the replacement bales - this is a genuine WW2 helmet!
The point is, lids like this will eventually be resold as original. And that's sad.
