Named Relic m35

Hi have been given an M35 relic helmet written on the inner skirt is Obwn Kissel , is the Obwn the first name or an abbreviation of a rank.

I am tempted to say it is the rank of Oberwachtmeister.

Are you sure the last letter is an "n" and not an "m"?

That was my thought as well. Are there any decals left on it?

Sorry it is M i will post pics later but it is dark grey paint with a lighter green over paint covering the decals that can just be seen in small flecks the chin strap is in place and an aluminium liner band.

If it is a "M" then it is a rank abreviation!

The rank is used in the Artillerie und Kavallerie. And the Police of course.

That indeed is a rank abreviation!
The "final point" at they end maks it more obvious.
