A "relic" DRK helmet ........not
There are a few things here that worry me about this offering .....
1) The fresh look to the rust.
2) While the pix are poor there looks like paint over corrosion.
3 ) A DRK helmet that's a M42???? ( normally civic )
4) Something is strange about the decal - is it too long?
Is it legitimate or just a painted and decalled relic returned to the elements for added patina?
Used to be a time when one was able to trust a relic - whatever is the world coming too?

The decal does look tall to me Dan. Chris is your boy on these, I'm sure he will chime in.

Looks like the photographer's purposely shying away from the decal --- trying to hide behind the "lack of photo skills" thing with all those out of focus shots from strange angles... one of the photos appear to have been shot from his neighbours house across the road.
Decal looks proportionally very big indeed and this is on an m42 where I would expect it to appear even smaller than on a m35-40. Kind of looks like it was applied on top of the rust as well.
Doesn't look good at all imo.

Thanks guys, appreciate the opinions.
I will give it a wide berth.

Round bottom DRK decals are, in my opinion, no good, so my inquiry would end there. This one, however, is bad for many more reasons than that. Just my 2 pfennigs, Jim G.

Round bottom fake sorry.

What's up with the right hand vent hole? Cant see it on the second and third photo. I mean, it is there on the second picture, but it seems to be blocked. Are you sure it is a German M42 lid, or could it be something else looking at the vent holes?
