    M35 or M40, hard to tell in this condition. Decal is probably good as it would be hard and pointless to fake this IMO

    It's honest. It seems to be a Quist produced M40 with an ET style Heer (Army) decal.

    Most likely fine. Look like this one from Bryansk we dug up. However i never seen such a rust caked lid. One small thing i personally do not like is the pic with flash. The rust looks very new. Maybe it's just me or the flash

    It all depends on how long its been out in open air as it can start to rust again and form the deep red, with very little moisture

    I agree Dave. You can see on my helmet above it started to react only 10-20 minutes after being dug up. It was found in a very wet area. That actually keeps the lids from rusting.

    Lars,it the lack of air that stops it rusting.ie.oxygen a lack of zilch rust.
