Thought shall be the harder , heart the keener,
Courage the greater as our strength faileth.
Here lies our leader ,in the dust of his greatness.
Who leaves him now , be damned forever.
We who are old now shall not leave this Battle,
But lie at his feet , in the dust with our leader
House Carles at the Battle of Hastings
I think this is a great discussion indeed and I strongly agree with Dimas. Started with battlefield archaeology myself (age seven) and proceeded int studying the subject . Dimas I would gladly show you the areas of fighting in Hanko next summer! Digging allowed with my (archeologist) supervision )
Jan, that is very interesting and thank you for a welcome, I'am just approx 60 miles from a Hanko, if I will walk stright up over the sea
But anyway it's a very interesting to see it with the knowledged persone like you.
Regards,
Dimas
