Relic M35 camo

No liner. I was told that it was found on a collapse bunker, that the helmet was not really buried on soil but underneath a ton of branches etc... The truth is that we can never be certain of its authenticity my opinion is that is real

Yeah i know who he is, i've seen his input on other forums , must admit he finds some fantastic stuff in Kurland , he has dug all over the place, Dim will probably know him, if it's from him then it should be good.

Must admit as a helmet collector i've never got exited about a bit wire on a lid nor understood why it commands more money !

I wouldnt dissmiss the helmet to quick either , iv seen photos of other helmets and gear found be this guy and this type of condition is quite common on the stuff he digs , and he digs alot of it ,just my thoughts cheers Raymond

Hi Guys,
I finally decided and I went for it!! I laredu got some very cool relics from this Digger. Besides the camo helmet I bought a named M40 semi relic. (see pics below) As soon a s I receive them I will do the usual Oxalic acid cleaning and post pictures of the final product.

Hi Guys,
I finally decided and I went for it!! I alredy got some very cool relics from this Digger. Besides the camo helmet; I bought a named M40 semi relic. (see pics below) As soon a s I receive them I will do the usual Oxalic acid cleaning and post pictures of the final product.

One of the things that I also noticed that are interesting to take in consideration is that the wire is broken at exactly the same level where the helmet has a big rust hole, which to me means that both were exposed to corrosion at the same time. (Im a relic freak, I find some kind of fascination on all this ground dug stuff)

In my opinion the wire has been added at sometime after it was dug up, it does not have the same aging as the helmet and also is to large in diameter to have been practicable to use. This is just my opinion, I am not expert but have collected helmets since 1947 and have seen and owned hundreds.
