Hi James ,nice relic! I think it may be a Quist helmet as the vent is slightly forward of centre and the skirt has a nice gentle "slope" to it although I may be wrong. Here is a little chart that I lifted from somewhere or other a while ago(apologises to the original author as I do not remember who to credit!) Have a look and see if you think any differently! As good as it is, keep in mind the slight shape changes as the sizes go up.
Even from the same maker a 62 will be a different shape to a 66.
And then there's the rolled edge M35/40 verses flared edge M42.

Nice relic cammo helmet James boy what a helmet it would have been in its day but relics are nice and genuine and they are what they are I kind of enjoy them I only have one in M-35. timothy
