That's fantastic that it's history is not lost, and it's a privilege for you to own such helmets that you know where it came from and who the owner was, very good Paul! Have you got a copy of his records as well I'd guess?

Thought shall be the harder , heart the keener,
Courage the greater as our strength faileth.
Here lies our leader ,in the dust of his greatness.
Who leaves him now , be damned forever.
We who are old now shall not leave this Battle,
But lie at his feet , in the dust with our leader
House Carles at the Battle of Hastings

Nice work Paul. I am a carpenter, often I think to myself "integrity is something that cannot be bought". A little saying for myself to help guide my conduct while at work. You're work with the history is a good example for me, thanks.
That is a great moral to stand by, and I will follow that myself, and I hope it will make me into a good man, and someone who people can trust and come to me for help, and this is very appliable to Paul, a very trustworthy person, whom I know personally, not very well, but very kind and his work keeps the memory of those who cannot speak alive.
Some very kind comments ,thank you
