The vent holes and liner pin holes have been welded shut, presumably to have made the helmet into a receptacle or bowl of some kind.
The guy wants way too much for this helmet, it's been on eBay for some time

Oh, I see now, welded vents and mounting holes to make it watertight. Yeah the price is pretty rich, but I've been watching it for a while. Also I wanted to know just what was going on with it.
Yeah as Doug said it was probably used as a bowl

Shame, it was a nice helmet imo.
