Looks like a good helmet ruined with postwar shite paint.
Well the thing is, this helmet was found in Eastern France and that is where the Battle of the Bulge took place. Not only that, but I think some soldiers were provided with paint tins for camouflaging their various items and I am guessing that this could have been painted during the war but its hard to know really. But thanks for all your replies, means alot...
