Fallschirm Helmet Liner question
Was foam ever used during WWII as shock absorbent material in the fallschirmjaeger helmet liners? Or was it a rubber compound? Seems a bit silly, but humor me and I will be giving you the "rest of the story" soon.
And I thought Luger University was expensive!

Re: Fallschirm Helmet Liner question
Hi Jerry, in the original specs, which I have in a book, it is described as "foam rubber or sponge rubber" 10mm thick for the smaller sizes and 13mm thick for the larger liner sizes, 56, 59 and 61. Original are firm, while many fakes are soft.
Cheers, Ade.
