Fallschirmjäger Helmet ..Opinions?

A fellow just emailed me knowing I am looking for WW2 items. He as this Falschimjager Helmet. Said he picked it up from an elderly lady at a garage sale. He said he thought the value to be around 850.00???

I have seen these helmets go for as much as a few thousand dollars.
Do you fine folks here believe this to be a genuine article? Looks pretty good to me but I am still rather in-experienced in this hobby so any help would be appreciated.

Nope. It's bad to the bone. Liner and shell look line Indian-made repros.

Agreed, this one is bad.

As a general warning to anyone considering buying an FJ helmet. Be very, very careful. Do your homework before you buy! Put pictures on the forum. Don't be tempted by "bargain" items like this one. This was a clear case of someone "trying to pull a fast one".

There are good copies out there, better than this one, which will fool the novice and even the more experienced collector too if they are not up to date with todays current info.
