    Lol - It does look like an M1 stainless rim, but the crown
    is not round enough.........

    i thought it might be a west german para helmet used in the 50s. were there such a Fallschirmjager helmet

    It is a West German GSG9 shell with fake decals. The liner leather may be TR period but some of the early GSG9 pots had this style leather as well. The strap looks to me to be definitely post war. Probably put together for a reenactor.
