Indirect vet acquired para. Was whitewash removed. This was said to have been picked as a trophy by the Vet on D+3.
I am only the second collector owner of this. So not much handling wear
Thanks for looking & hope you like it Leon

My greatest fear is that one day I will die and my wife will sell my guns for what I told her I paid for them

I reckon Leon will like it too a lot, excellent, superb helmet you have in your collection, one day in the future I will have one, time to start saving
Once again David you have excelled! What a great looking helmet, that shows true battle use, we can only imagine what stories a lid like this could tell. A fantastic example and I am happy for you that a change of heart occurred keeping it in your superb collection. Thanks for showing it to us. Leon.
Thank you sir. Glad you like it.
Story from the Vet...the Krauts jumped them at night D+3...he took this as his war trophy. Kept it until 1981 & sold it to a collector at his yard sale. Was finally re-sold to me about 3 years ago.
I know, I know...don't buy the story, buy the helmet. But pretty cool thinking it may be true anyway

Thats beautiful enough without the story.
Great helmet and a rare bird in that clean condition, thanks for sharing.
