Sorted these two helmets out that i have had in the loft for past 10 years , both have been used by the Finnish army in ww2 and relined post war ,The m40 is interesting as it looks like it had white paint on it at some point maybe winter camo ?

Great helmets! The hkp M42 is just amazing. I think you're right, the EF M40 seems to be ww2 period white painted
