Air Observation Lotta Dagmar Kiho

I became interested in the Lotta Svard while in Finland and picked up some nice things.
Dagmar Teresia Kiho was born in Imatra 22 October 1916 and joined the Lotta Svard Air Observation Branch in 1937.
They were trained in aircraft recognition, plotting and reporting. In forested areas they manned towers.
Her Medal of Liberty 2nd class was awarded in 1940 and 1st class in 1942. She received her Lotta Svard Merit Medal in November 1944.
Her Winter War Medal has the clasp Ilmapuolustus (Air Defence). She also earned the Continuation War Medal but may never have claimed it as it wasn't instituted until 1957. After the war she worked for the Postal Service and was awarded the Medal of the Order of the White Rose (2nd class) in February 1982.
