Commemorative Medal of the Capture of Helsinki
According to The Great War Primary Documents Archive this medal was awarded in 1938 to 'White' troops which participated in the liberation of Finland's capital city from 'Red' Finnish troops that had captured it as part of the Finnish Civil War.
Jukka Mattila's post made in alt.military.collecting.medals on Google Groups, states it was also awarded to members of The German Ostseedivision (the Baltic Division) led by General RĂ¼diger von der Goltz that assisted Finnish forces in liberating the city of Helsinki.
