    Dear all,

    I am a new member, thank you accepting me.

    Please can you tell me the model and type of Flying helmet, oxygen mask, parachute, used by Finnish pilot during ww2 (see photos).

    These items seem to be very popular among Finnish pilots during the war.

    The Finnish used a mix of items some made in Finland some in Sweden and Germany,British ,Italian , these guys and wearing m36 Summer tunics sorry not sorry on the parachute but the mask looks to be British ?,

    Thank you Kradman,

    for the reply and photos.

    The Flying helmet should be a Finnish craft made by Friitala Leather Factory Ltd (unfortunately no type or model known). I suspect the oxygen mask was made in Finland also. For sure it was not a RAF model, as the nose of the pilot was not covered by the mask itself.
