    Just got this home!

    A little history lesson:
There's four ways M16's arrived to Finland: 1. with the German Ostee Division soldiers in 1918. 2. By Finnish Jaegers who were sent to training in Germany, prior to Finnish independency declarence of 1918. 3. Were bought from France after Ww1 4. Bought directly from Germany after Ww1.

Who know's what this one has been through...

Anyways, this is my Finnish M16, which has been depot repaired after the war ended and pulled out of service to emergency storage, to wait for next war. Ww2 Stalhelm models continued service and the older ones were put to retirement

Could the darker areas that can be seen especially under the vent, be the older paint shining through the depot paint?
