I was going to buy this NORDFRONT Cross 1941-42!
I see absolutely nothing wrong with it. But i want to see with you guys for safety!

looks ok to me.
Kemi - I have some concerns about the shape of the '4s' on this badge- please see my thread https://www.warrelics.eu/forum/finni...eichen-218160/ for comparison. Also follow the link at the bottom of the thread to see another example.
Also as the black enameled North Front Cross seem, to my knowledge, less common - please see the photo of such at Finland - War Medals and again note the shape of the '4'.
I'll check my image files to see if I have any pics of the black enameled North Front Cross for further comparison. I'd also like to know if maker on the holding device is correct.
You may also want to post your question in Wehrmacht-Awards.com Militaria Forums > Wehrmacht Uniforms and Equipment > Italian & European Axis Allies Forum.
Interesting looking decoration. Must go check out 'dastier's' thread now...
I wanted to ask, if the cross was officially sanctioned by Germany, but the link in the above post pretty much answers that (post #3). Thanks.

Yet more interesting info.
If the cross is not officially sanctioned, it would tie in with variations in the different crosses.
Yes I have to thank Kemi for his post as it spurred me to do some more research. I was unaware that there were so many variations.
Agreed. Very interesting. A thank you to both of ya'
Hi kemi
As said these crosses are unofficial and there is lot of variations of it.
White enamel version is most common what i have seen here in Finland.
This one is not the best one but good one.
dastier, thx for that great grouping pic.
