Aircraft manufacturer badge

I’ve been told that this was a badge for a WW2 Japanese aircraft manufacturer, but I’ve been unsuccessful at identifying it. Does anyone recognize the company the trademark on the badge belonged to?

Unless the seller is more forthcoming with grounds for his conclusion, the badge itself offers no support of those claims. It only suggests a connection to machining.
