    Thank you all for the awesome information, stories and photos! You have helped answer the questions and concerns I had about the sword. If anyone is intersted here is a better picture of the arsenal stamps.

    Iijima - Tokyo - Kokura

    Ern,

    Regarding the sword photos you posted. The last kanji is obscure, but looks like it could be:
    雲州忠盛
    Unshū Tadamori
    昭和二十年六月
    June 1945

    The second sword. The first kanji is obliterated, but is most likely
    []藤兼住作
    [Sa]tō Kanezumi Saku
    Nihonto Club source
