Hello all, here are some pics of a nice Naval piece with lacquered saya. For fun I thought I would show it "Exploded" as a study piece for anyone who hasn't had a chance to see one in this fashion. The piece is numbered 202 and the assembly numbers are also on the Nakago I am not sure of the greenish yellow numbers but it looks like 92 possibly an order number. The Ito is a little less common as it is a green as opposed to the brown which I think adds a nice contrast. The Fuchi is the type with the seppa incorporated and soldered into the fitting. The cloth sarute and original tassel are also present. Regards,Geoff

That's gorgeous Geoff! The Kaigunto are my favorite because of their beauty.

What did you use as a background?

Thank you Bruce,For this background I used an old backdrop used for school photos I'm afraid its becoming quite ratty.I also use paper I get from Paper shack a party supply store its like giant wrapping paper.
I know what you mean about the Kaigunto! Thank you all for your comments,Regards,Geoff
