IJA Aircraft/ Pilot Bags

Hi All,

Here are my interesting IJA Aviation related collections that I got last month.

I've never seen anything like them before. They are very nice references.

1.) IJA Pilot' s Private Purchase Personnel Kit Bag.

Similar to the IJN issed pilot's kit bag, had three separate storage section. The difference is the belt/ buckle fastener. Two on one side, and one on the other side.

There are writings on the bag, without them I would n 't know a thing.

Translations:

六十五期操縦學生 (Roku-Jyuugo Ki Soujyuu Gakusei) - 65th Period Pilot Student

竹入伍長 (Takeiri Go-Chou) - Corporal Takeiri

His name was also written on the diamond shaped belt "roots".

A single piece of paper was inside the bag as a bonus. Came off from some kind of an aviation related book.

2.) Storage Bag for IJA Reconnaissance Tachikawa Ki-36 "Ida" 's Propeller Cover.

I was very excited to see such kit bag. Not only it looks like a small parachute bag (with the snap on buttons), it has a specific aircraft' s stampings.

To me, a very important piece. Too bad there are no cover in the bag.

Very neat! I would of guessed late war student bag. Lining is a clue. Love the prop cover bag! My favorite!

3.) IJA Aircraft Simple Cover Bag (For Single Engined)

This is another wonderful bag. It's quite huge. Again, lack of contents.

It has six light green tie strings similar to the army parachute storage bag.

The most fortunate thing about this bag is the spec tag is still present !
