Japanese Canteen

Article about: This canteen just arrived in my collection. Although the leather stopper retainer is dry, it's in overall great shape. I believe it is named to: 石田原口 Ishida Harag

Thanks for the kind words, gentlemen!! I am slowly trying to put together a Japanese uniform display. If anyone knows where I can find additional uniform and field gear items, please let me know!

    Merry Christmas!

Named, issued army canteens aren't unusual but certainly harder to find then those surplus, unissued examples that are all over the Internet & flooding the Japanese flea markets

Thanks, Jareth. Most of the canteens I've seen are so beat-up and missing components. I like that this one is complete yet shows it's age and has a story to tell.
