A very interesting helmet! Unfortunately I do not know enough to help you. Thanks for sharing!
Looks to be in very nice condition type 90 lid. The paint seems to be still flat and not shiny from a lot of handling. Does look like the straps are not full length but not a big deal. Are the liner pads still in the helmet?
Thanks for feedback Charlie, the pads are still there but no markings.
Cheers, Mads
Looks like a good one to me.
Reverse of pad should have ink stamp with Showa date
Looks fine to me as well. Paints in great shape as is the liner too. No clue to what was painted over, though.

Looks like a very nice mid~late war example.
Here is mine - IJA Type 90 Helmet
I have a few questions/requests :
- Are there any liner pads inside the liner flaps?
- If possible, can you show us the helmet without the flash (all around shot) ?
- Any other markings on the rim ?
Thank you and regards,
Taka
I have had a few Japanese helmets in my day passes muster to me I like it typical of what you would expect to see. timothy
Thank you all for feedback.
Jareth, there are traces of a stamp on the reverse of one of the liner pads, but its hardly visible.
Taka-san, The pads are there, but no markings on the rim. I will make photos later tonight.
Anyone who knows where to get an original camo net? and what would be a fair price?
Cheers, Mads
