Japanese IJA belt and buckle belonging to Lt. Col Iwanami

Hey gang. At the beginning of the week I received a company level IJA belt in near mint condition. Yesterday I received another example - this time at field grade level. It's actually named to a Lt. Col Iwanami and was actually part of a uniform that was being sold piece by piece. Couldn't afford the trousers and hanger that were left....

BUT: I'm mostly a buckle and belt collector so I'm happy to have this. It's named as well on the belt.

I took pics of the new belt (red lining) along with my company level belt (blue lining) as well as the larger IJN belt buckle that I already owned and another Japanese belt and hanger. There are lots of pics.....

Quite happy to have this one added to the mix.

Love the Naval buckle................!

Hi Steve! The naval buckle is considerably larger than the army type. I'd love to find one with the belt still "attached"! I think they are also considerably harder to find. But half the fun is finding them IMO! Glad you like it man!

hello,very nice buckles ...i used to have a navy japanese belt complete it was sighned also.i got out of the japanese area so i sold it...you would have loved it..! it was an early one also before ww2 .
