Aha! Here ya go; based on the top reinforcing, probably for sabre.

1st half of the 20th century, Manually sewn leather fencing mask supported by metal cravatted frame and used in sport fencing. Cond. A.

Good thing I didnt buy it as a Japanese Kabuto helmet. Nice style though but not worthed as War Helmet.... although im not sure if it was meant to be used on battle. or just training.
Anyway is gone,.. I didnt bid. Seller was asking 200usd

It looks nothing like a Japanese kabuto. Even the poorest quality Japanese kabuto is far more sophisticated than this piece.
