Thanks guys! Alan...local pickup "in a way"....I was able to acquire it from Paul Hogle before it made it to his site. We're in the same province so "in a way" it was a local grab. Not an item that came out of the woodwork though...Glad you like it!
I'm quite happy to have it added to my Japanese collection of ww2 items.

Hi Luke , thanks for the pictures , the dirk you show is genuine , unfortunately it is missing it`s pommel which is often the case with these . Quality wise , Robs is a "higher end" version ( note that your example has a basic leather covering to the scabbard , where Rob`s example has sharkskin and also the quality and finish to the fittings). I like the Dirk very much , thanks for showing it
