Japanese pre ww2 lighter

Hey, i bought this lighter from a shop in Japan many years ago and it was said to be from just befor the war. Weather this is true or not i really cant say as i have been unable to find anything about it on the net.

What do you think?

Notice the weird swastika like stamp on the bottom, not an actual swastika but similar. Been meaning to fix it up, put in a new flint, wick and cotton in fuel chamber but havnt got round to it yet.

Ok, i notice in the prosess of resizing pics for the forum that they arnt quit as clear as they should be.

Sarome is writen on the side of the topslide (if thats what you would call it?) and stamped on the bottom is the following -
Sarome
"liquid-III"
Segawa
MFG. Co.,

Fuel 8cc

The band around the middle of the lighter with the picture is made of brass.

I must admit im rather stumped on this one myself.

Bought it many years ago from somwhere in Japan, I did email Sarome not long after i bought it but never heard anything from them, Ill try again.
