Guy is that one mine or the other one shown in this thread?
THANK YOU

That is yours. The other one I posted was just to illustrate how they are read (top to bottom) and should be photographed.

Stu
Thank you so very much Guy!!
Thanks for taking the time to do this. If I ever come across any more of these, I will now know how to photo this part.
I think I may have my camera sorted as I took photos of some holsters this moring and after playing with the camera I think I may have found the correct setting.
Take Care

By the way, tassel colors indicate branch of service and rank. An updated photo of yours, taken when you are able in natural light if possible, would be appreciated so that we can determine just what type yours is.

Stu
Dean-O,
The image I posted is from a different sword, but same maker. The difference in signature is that the one I posted has 住 -ju [Resident/Residing], whereas yours doesn't.
Yours: 関福田兼丈作 Seki Fukuda .... [Fukuda (of) Seki ...] Sort of like "Yukon Jack," eh?
Other: 関住福田兼丈作 Seki-ju Fukuda [Fukuda, Resident of Seki ...]. Sort of like "Jack, Residing in the Yukon." Eh?
Cheers!
