    Default 愛護鉄路章

    I think so ...

Wait for Nick to vet what I've written!! I'm not confident that the online Chinese & Japanese dictionaries are trustworthy!
    愛護 【あいご aigo】 (n,vs) protection; tender care

    The reverse states:
    愛護鉄路章
    Aigo Tetsuro Shō
    Aigo Railway Medal

The Manchukuo Railway General Admin Symbol
In the notes it states, "...used until 1938...."

    Poster below states:
    尊重時間 愛護鉄路
A High Regard for Time [note station master checking his watch as the train rolls in]
    Aigo Railway

Yes, a Manchurian Railway Security Medal.

As the tracks went through sparsely populated areas, they asked local residents for help in keeping the tracks safe. They selected Manchurian villages within 5 kms from the tracks and designated them as rail security villages to keep the tracks free of bandits.

The Manchurian villages were named Aigo villages and those consisting of Japanese settlers, but with the same function were called Keigo villages instead. There were more than 3600 such villages and more than 6 million individuals involved in such activity.

The medal acknowledges someone's contributions to this Citizen's Watch Group activity.

    Very valuable information.
With a huge number of people involved in the protection of the railway, this medal is rare.
Met a similar medal, but with black enamel on the logotype of the railways.
It would be ideal to look at the charter of this award, to find out which firm was engaged in the issue - and in what circulations, but most likely it is impossible )
