Considering how rare these are... Yeah, I'm 99.999% sure that mine is a commemorative medal. With that being said, this one compares nicely with the original that Stu posted in his war medals thread.

Hope you got a box included. These are common enough that you should. If I were collecting medals & awards I'd hold out for only boxed examples unless it's something extremely rare
